Once you have submitted your form, we will contact you within 2 working days, with an offer of support.
Please tick the box below to confirm that you have read and understand the information above and would like to proceed to our registration form.
This information can be found in your MyLFA profile.
The answers to the following questions will help us to make the best choice of support. Please answer as fully as you feel able.
Before you move on to the next section of the form, we wanted to mention that, as an LFA student, you also have access to an online peer support community called Togetherall. Togetherall is an online space to connect, share and discuss what’s on your mind with peers. To access Togetherall, visit the Togetherall website and select “Which describes you?” option: “I’m from a university or college”.
We strongly recommend all LFA students register with a GP practice/doctor's surgery. You can visit the NHS website here www.nhs.uk/service-search/find-a-GP and type in your postcode and it will show you all the doctors closest to you that you can register with.
Please do register with a GP practice/doctor's surgery as soon as possible. We recommend you do not wait until you actually need to see a doctor.
If you have a diagnosed long-term mental health condition, you may be eligible for disability support. This support may enable you to access adjustments to help with your studies.
The Equality Act 2010 states that, to be classed as having a disability, your mental health issues need to have a ‘substantial’ and ‘long term’ negative effect on your ability to do normal daily activities. ‘Long-term’ in this context means that your condition must have lasted, or be likely to last, 12 months or more.
If you haven't done so already, we strongly recommend that, as well as registering with us for mental health support, you should also contact our Student Support team by emailing studentsupport@londonfilmacademy.com to ask whether you might be eligible for disability support.
It is important to remind you that LFA is not an emergency service or 24/7 service. If you feel, either now or at any time in the future, that you are at immediate risk, please visit londonfilmacademy.com/needhelpnow for the details of the crisis services and emergency services that you should contact.
Please note that we will always try to accommodate your preferences about the timing of any appointment that we offer. However, this is not always possible, and we may need to get in touch with you to suggest an alternative approach.
